The 2001 Aspen Workshop held at the Given Institute in Aspen, Colorado in October brought together major funders of cognitive disability research, researchers from around the nation, with a focus on CU efforts, and academic leaders.

Presentations were given by CU faculty and guest researchers from around the country. There were also presentations by leaders of government and private funders of disabilities research.
