The Neuroinformatics workshop was held in April of 2002.
The purpose was to bring together researchers in areas of cognitive
disorders, computer science, and mathematics to build a foundation for
collaborative research.
The program included:
Stochastic and coherence resonance in a hippocampal neuronal network
model, Dominique
Durand, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Case
Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
Role of animal models in studies of mental retardation in Down
syndrome, Zygmunt
Galdzicki, Department of Anatomy, Physiology & Genetics,
Uniformed Service University, Bethesda, MD.
Cell replacement therapies for brain repair in neurodegeneration,
Michael
Zawada, Neuroscience Training Program, CU School of Medicine.
Computational issues in Down syndrome, Katheleen
Gardiner, Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.
Modeling somatosensory pathways and plasticity taking place in
the somatosensory cortex, Kris
Cios, Computer Science & Engineering, CU-Denver.
Sensory processing impairment in schizophrenia: Insights from neurophysiology,
Michael Kisley, CU School of Medicine.
Alchoholism and gene expression arrays, Imran
Shah, Department of Preventive Medicine & Biometrics
and Department of Pharmacology, CU School of Medicine.
