Lorraine Ramig Lorraine.Ramig@Colorado.EDU
& John K. Bennett John.Bennett@Colorado.EDU

Oral communication is vital in education, employment, social functioning, and self-expression. Over 20 million children and adults have a neurological disorder that may impair their ability to communicate orally. The PDA-Enhanced Speech Treatment project builds upon a well-established foundation of experimental efficacy data and integrates state-of-the-art technology to examine the use of Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) technology in the implementation of an efficacious voice treatment (LSVT) for Parkinson disease (PD). These studies, utilizing PDA technology, provide an excellent opportunity to break new ground in the goal of improving communication and the quality of life of individuals with neurological disorders.
