When you vote...

Remember that there are two levels of voting:

* The Business Process Forums allow you to vote on your level of satisfaction, level of effort and policy implications of the business processes for a given area. (For further information, see Process Assessment Quick Reference Guide.)

* The Requirements Forums allow you to evaluate more specific, detailed requirements, and how critical each is to your business. (For further information, see Requirements Voting Quick Reference Guide.)

This is a very large project, and there are thousands of detailed requirements. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by them. You do not need to review all of them! We would like you to consider your area(s) of expertise, and recommend that you approach voting in this order:

1) Vote on the Business Processes for the area in which you have the most expertise or interest.

2) Vote on the Requirements for the area in which you have the most expertise or interest.

3) Vote on the Business Processes for the “Shared” area.

4) Vote on the Requirements for the “Shared” area.

5) Vote on the Requirements for the “General” area (there are no business processes here).

6) Review the Requirements in the “Technical” area – the Reporting, Document Management and Workflow sections may be of particular interest.

7) After that, please feel free to browse through any other areas and provide your feedback.

Remember to save each page that you vote on; you can return later to complete more pages. There’s no need to do everything in one sitting.

Participation Using DecisionDirector - Background Information and Instructions on How to Register/Request to Participate in Validation and Assessment

To validate and assess the business processes and functional requirements in a new SIS, we are using a web-based tool called DecisionDirector by Advantiv Solutions. This online tool permits us to get detailed input from a wide array of representatives from the campuses in an efficient way, and has been successfully used by other universities for similar purposes. Each person who participates will use DecisionDirector from their own desktop.

To register/request to participate, please go to:

CU DecisionDirector Participation Registration Request

After submitting your Participation Registration Request, you will receive an e-mail with your User ID and additional details about the tool and how to use it. The e-mail will come directly from Advantiv Solutions, the makers of DecisionDirector.

If you missed earlier opportunities for DecisionDirector training, Dates/Times for additional 1 hour training sessions that you can participate in from your desktop will be announced soon and the schedule published here. It is anticipated that training sessions will be offered during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of May.

For further background and details about how to use DecisionDirector, go to CU General Instructions. (These instructions are also part of what is included with the information that participants receive by e-mail as feedback from Advantiv after they make their CU Decision Director Participation Registration Request.)

For more information about DecisionDirector, you may visit the Advantiv web site at: http://www.advantiv.com/
