The TTO starts the new fiscal year with two permanent new employees and one temporary employee
Andrew Gano, a recent honors graduate from the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business, became part of TTO's health sciences team as Licensing Associate. While attending the UCB Leeds Business School, Andrew won the CTEK/Seagate Technology Innovator's award for a business plan created based upon his work as an intern with the TTO during the summer of 2004. Prior to business school, Andrew worked as a strategic planner and research analyst for Agency.com, a technology consulting firm based in New York City. Andrew earned a B.A. in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.
Susana B. Cestino Read also became a TTO Licensing Associate with the health sciences team. Susana previously served as a temporary Licensing Associate at TTO working on technical analysis and management of CU inventions. Before joining TTO, Susana worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Immunology at UCHSC. During her fellowship, she directed a laboratory specializing in Immunotherapy for brain tumors.
Prior to becoming a research scientist she spent two years as a visiting doctor at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her past experience also includes more than five years as a Veterinary surgeon and clinician in a small animal practice. She earned a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from La Plata National University, Buenos Aires, Argentina and an MBA with an emphasis in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
Elizabeth Towner, who completed her BA with Honors in Psychology from UCB, became a temporary classified Marketing Analyst in June 2005. Liz secures and organizes information on company technology acquisition interests for Licensing Associates, helps update the case oriented database, and schedules business advisory and related meetings.
