Tom Smerdon Scheduled to Speak at Longmont Life Science Thursday

The University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office's Director of Business Development, Tom Smerdon is scheduled to represent the research institution perspective in a discussion panel on October 6, 2005 at the upcoming Longmont Life Science Thursday.

This panel discussion will explore technology transfer from a different angle, attempting to give insight into the systems and motivations of universities and life science companies as they work out research arrangements (and funding), spin out companies, and agreements (MTA's, licenses). The hope is that it will enhance understanding for both, and increase collaboration between our great bioscience companies and our outstanding research institutions.
