Boulder TTO Welcomes New IP Manager - June 17, 2002

The CU Technology Transfer Office is proud to announce the hiring of Kate Tallman as the new Intellectual Property Manager for the Boulder Campus.

Kate earned a BA in Comparative Politics from Oberlin College and an MBA in Marketing from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. She has been most recently employed as the Director of Marketing, as well as Co-founder, of Roving Planet, a venture-backed company specializing in wireless LAN management and winner of the international business plan competition, Venture Challenge 2002.

In her new position, Kate's responsibilities will run the full gamut of technology transfer. She will be assisting inventors with disclosures, directing patent prosecution, marketing technologies, and negotiating licenses. Her marketing acumen will be a wonderful enhancement of the services offered by the Boulder TTO.
