CU Announces New Technology Transfer/Research Compliance Attorney
BOULDER-- The University Counsel's Office announced today the appointment Kristin Diamond as Technology Transfer and Research Compliance Advisor. Ms. Diamond will support the legal activities of the Technology Transfer Office and act as the system-wide contact from the University Counsel's Office on research compliance matters.
Ms. Diamond most recently served as General Counsel for MessageMedia, Inc. where she managed all legal activities for the publicly traded Louisville-based software and services company. Previously, Ms. Diamond spent five years at Philips Semiconductors in San Jose, CA., where she was the Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for technology licensing, intellectual property management, and corporate and securities matters. Diamond holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
David Allen, Assistant Vice President for Technology Transfer said, "I am absolutely delighted that such a talented professional is joining our tech transfer team. Ms. Diamond brings considerable intellectual property and technology licensing experience into the Technology Transfer Office. Her hire initiates our internal legal capability and reflects the increasing scope and volume of our commercial transactions."
Charles Sweet, Vice President for Human Resources and Risk Management and General Counsel said, "Ms. Diamond's experience will expand our outreach to the University community with respect to increasingly important research compliance matters, as well as deepen our relationships with governmental sponsoring institutions, legislative bodies, and research communities."
