Caron Schwartz Ellis
Caron Schwarz Ellis is a staff writer with the Boulder County Business Report, a biweekly business newspaper based in Boulder with a circulation of 10,000.

Ellis covers technology, government, real estate, retail and other industry sectors. Her monthly column, Equal Time, focuses on women and business. Prior to joining the Business Report, Ellis was a security operations consultant for Accenture in Denver. She has also been a freelance technology and academic writer and an adjunct philosophy professor at the Community College of Denver.

Amy Fletcher
Amy Fletcher is the biotechnology reporter at the Denver Business Journal, where she also covers health care, law firms and the state Legislature. She covered health care at The Gazette in Colorado Springs before joining the DBJ in 2000.

David Milstead
David Milstead is one of two finance reporters for the Rocky Mountain News; He focuses on banks, accounting, executive compensation and corporate finance. He joined the News in April 2001 from the Wall Street Journal, where he worked from Charlotte, N.C. for the paper's Southeast Journal regional section. Before that, he was business editor of a small daily in his native South Carolina. He started his career in Cincinnati, Ohio with a business journal. He is a graduate of Oberlin College with majors in economics and political science. Milstead is a 10-time winner or co-winner in various Colorado statewide journalism competitions, including six awards for coverage of Qwest. The Rocky Mountain News' Qwest stories, authored by Jeff Smith, Lou Kilzer and Milstead, also won two awards in last year's SABEW Best in Business competition and are featured in Best Business Crime Writing of the Year 2003 and Best Business Stories of the Year 2004.
