Kathleen McCreary is Vice President of Payer Relations & Network Development at the University of Colorado Health. She was previously with one of the system’s founding members, the University of Colorado Hospital Authority, starting in 2006.
Kathleen currently oversees hospital, physician and ancillary contracting with both commercial and managed government payers as well as payment integrity and contract compliance auditing, network development and payer analytics for the five hospital University of Colorado Health system. She’s responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s overall contracting and network development strategy and partners closely with health plan market leadership.
Kathleen holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Administration from the University of San Francisco and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Prior to moving to Colorado Kathleen was Executive Director of a 650 member independent physicians association (IPA) in San Francisco.
Kathleen serves on the Managed Care & Business Development Council of the University Healthsystem Consortium, on the Products & Services Committee of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, is a member of the Colorado Clean Claims Task force and is on the Board of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Liver Foundation. She’s a member of both the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
