Creating Futures:
At one year, campaign well on way to $1.5B goal

One year after we publicly announced CU's $1.5 billion Creating Futures fundraising campaign, we're pleased with our progress. CU has attracted $1.15 billion in private support since the campaign began in 2006, including $213.2 million last year—the highest in CU history. These gifts have supported more than 500 new and existing scholarships, among the many hundreds of programs and initiatives donors have supported throughout CU.

But numbers don't tell the whole story. A priority of Creating Futures is to communicate the impact donors have made at CU, and tell the stories—of donors and CU recipients alike—that underlie this philanthropy.

The CU Foundation recently launched a magazine that helps fill this need. The spring 2012 issue of Creating Futures magazine will be available next week. In it, you'll read about how donors spurred the CU-Boulder's Herbst Program in Humanities 21 years ago and about the Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences sprouting at UCCS. You'll hear of a connection between Tim Tebow and the CU Cancer Center, and CU Denver research that explores how climbing a mountain can make good teachers great.

Creating Futures magazine spotlights the things that donors help CU gain. Stay tuned to read more about how donors are Creating Futures at CU, and learn more about this campaign at www.cufund.org.
