The Oracle DBA group provides: · Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and mySQL server software installation, upgrades, and patch application · Database creation, monitoring, and performance tuning · Database backup and recovery · Oracle and SQL consultation services · Administration of CU's Oracle licensing We currently administer over 50 Oracle9i, 8i,
and 10g databases on Unix and Windows platforms, as well as several Microsoft
SQL Server and mySQL databases. Databases
we support include system-wide applications Peoplesoft HRMS and Financial
Systems (production, development and testing environments), the Central
Information Warehouse (CIW), the Faculty/Staff and Student Portals, Student
and Exchange Visitor Information System, as well as databases to support
several departmental transaction processing systems for CU System
Administration departments. |
